I highly aappreciate your concern, however it would be much better if you can provide some code related to the same & server details.

hello,
I am using tomact 5.0.28
my web.xml contains
<error-page>
<error-code>404</error-code>
<location>/html/ErrorPage.html</location>
</error-page>
have designed correspongind html and saved in a html folder unders my applictions root.
now my question is -
1) in a JSP, is it so that I have to set the page attribute for erorpage?
if so, then whats the use of error-page element in deployment descriptor.
sorry , but I didnt get that one.
2) also, this will have page correspondign to specific error.. can we have generalised eror page set in deployment descriptor?
3) also would like to know how to use <exeception-type>
thanx in advance
regards
Devayani
