I know this must be really easy to do but I may be overcomplicating this/confusing myself.

I basically have a servlet, which needs to call n number of web pages (in order for these pages to render themselves (and cache server-side)).

I do not need these pages that I have called to be shown/rendered for any one. The process is simply one of calling the pages to force the serverside cacheing.

Whats the best way of doing this from a servlet point of view?

Cheers.

Oh and thinking about it further, I guess this doesnt need to essentially be a Servlet, as this will be an automated task called by cron.

Hmmm.

Ill have a look at the requestdispatched cheers.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
