It's drivel because I'm a newhorn. Quite appropriate. I have programmer certification, but still a newhorn. Why is it that when we visit a e-commerce web site, like a Dell PC one, and have a question before we decide to buy, that we have to call their silly 800 toll free number, wait 30 minutes after punching in several responses to the voice system, get someone who knows nothing about PCs, and if we are lucky get redirected to someone who is good to answer the questions! Why can't this all be done on the web.... I think an instant messaging button would be a huge improvement to e-commerce. Comments anyone?
MSN has a feature like the one you speak of, and you sit in Q for as long as you would wait on the phone for someone to talk with you on the web. It is a good idea, just still implemented very poorly. (Gateway has one too) ------------------ Happy Coding, Gregg Bolinger [This message has been edited by Gregg Bolinger (edited October 17, 2001).]
