How to find OS login ID from Servlet.

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi,

How Can I find client OS's(operating system's e.g.window )Logged in User ID from Servlet. The client OS means, the OS from where that particular Servlet is requested on server.

Thanks,
Abra.

You can't, and it's best that way.
It would be a major security flaw if things like that were possible.

Anyway, Thax for this.
But Can I get some information about the client, who requested that servlet from servlet??
Thanks,
Abra.

If you install the LiveHTTPHeaders plugin for FireFox, you will be able to see exactly what information is passed from the client to the server in the HTTP Request Headers.

Why do you want to get the user's logged in name?

There may be a better way to do what you're trying to do.
