About USA: People here are really great and friendly. Their public behaviour is awesome. Americans are honest and their way and attitude of living, is something indians must learn.

Hello guys,
I am doing a research paper on India and I chose to explore the lifestyle of Indians that are currently living overseas, specifically the US.
I'm interested in compiling statistics on age, sex, reason for coming, education background, caste, family history, beliefs and so forth. Further, I wish to discuss with you about how you cope with living in America and how you deal with each other, being memebers of different castes and dating other races and anything else you would like to share.
I know I'm asking a lot, but in return, I'll post the results of my findings and email you a copy of the paper. Hopefully, you'll find some insight in the results, as I'm sure I will.
I have already started my research a little bit interviewing international students from India at my campus, but they are reserved and embarrassed, so I'm hoping the anonymity of the Internet can help divulge more personal feelings.
You can either email me: chris1215@hotmail.com
Or you can post your background here for others to share. Most importantly, tell me about your life at home, how it's different, and how your relations with other Indians change in the US.
Ok, thanks a lot. I'm not sure if this will work but hopefully some people will respond.

This wasn't meant to be an 'India v USA' thread so don't make us close it

AW wish you would have seen the date of the post "October 23, 2001 ".
I read it(it was speech given Infosys CEO), that one thing we should learn from US is to take care of society. We have famiily values only. We dont care abt society

Hi Christopher,
Looking at the answers, I think you will be better off doing your research somewhere else.
Rest
----------------
Christopher is doing some research. In research there is no right or wrong answer. So if somebody details his/her lifestyle, then others should not try to justify it or try to differ from it. That's the whole point of research.
Also Indians who are in India can't judge on the lifestyle of people here. Same is true the other way.
