TV ubiquitously and repeatedly was showing the scene of palestinians' joy about the fall of NY towers.
Meanwhile Al-Jazira, the owner of that film insists it was in 1991 after Saddam Hussein declared a strugle against on foreigner country.

Actually there were many more such demonstrations of joy by the wonderful Palestinean people, but the Palestinean Authority clamped down on the media and refused to let it be shown.
But it was good talking to you anyway.

A couple other points. There were multiple films of the wonderful Palestinean people celebrating. If you look further than that bastion of journalastic integrity known as Al-Jazeera, you will be able to find accounts of other Palestineans that back up the videos, saying things like the demonstrators weren't representative of the general populace (BS imho), or that the demonstrators were told things such as a very general "a blow has been struck against the US" to the more outlandish "Japan has attacked the USA in retaliation for Hiroshima". These "people" don't even realize that we have been restraining Israel from carrying out a much more aggressive policy against them, but when you are ignorant, only listen to what your leaders tell you, or just plain don't want to believe it, you are susceptible to this.
Next... what about the films of other celebrations across the Muslim world after the attack? Egypt comes to mind. I seem to remember a video of an Egyptian saying "Bullseye" or something after viewing film of one of the planes hitting the tower.

I am sorry before all TV-users because I do not have a TVset. This is my personal choice ... I also cannot see video. I have videoplayer but I have broken TVset to get rid of temptations of drugging me with TVision.
I saw that episode at neighbour's TVset while playing with him (neighbour) chess
I also beleive in Presumption of Innocence, i.e. you may cry thousands of time that you did, do, will but it should be proven...in democratic society. The intention is, to my knowledge, not a crime, yet

Sounds like you are describing all my American friends.
Everybody hates Al-Jazeera, the fundamentalist muslims don't like that they give a voice to the Israelis, the Israelis don't like them cause they say the Palestinians have a cause, the West doesn't like them cause they play Bin Laden speaches unedited, Bin Laden doesn't like them cause, well, he probably doesn't like much of anything.
Regardless of your personal emotional attachments, Al-Jazeera is quite objective, especially when compared to the major channels of info that dominate the West, CNN for example.

Al-Jazeera is TV station. It is the only one permitted to operate in Afghanistan, and I beleive because, of their objectiveness, abscence of labels/cliches/explanations/accusations

If I may ask, since you have me at a disadvantage, are you British, Canadian, or other? Based on the above comments I would almost say British, since it displays a bit of that European superiorty complex. Many Europeans like to think that they are very worldly while the poor ignorant Americans no nothing of the rest of the world.

Al-Jazeera allows themselves to serve as the propaganda machine of the Taliban and Al-Queda. CNN is a traitorous organization who provides satellite communications equipment for our enemies in exchange for preferential treatment and exclusive access. They did it during the Gulf and they are doing it now. Personally I prefer the BBC.

Born and bred in the USA.

Al-Jazeera allows themselves to serve as the propaganda machine of the Taliban and Al-Queda.

BS, Al-Jazeera lets people say what they have to say with out advocacy of the speakers personal agenda. They carry Bush speeches, Tony Blair speeches, Sharon speeches, but you don't seem to see them as the propaganda machine of the US, UK, and Israel.
I think its funny that we Americans pay all this lips service to free speech and democratic elections, but when it really came down to it, the powers that be didn't dare to have Ralph Nader debating on the same stage as G.W. and Al Gore. Intentional Misinformation
How's that for a tangent?

I am Russian, born in Ukraine and resident in Portugal.
You know that USA are at the 3d place by the level of life after Norvegians (1st) and canadians (2nd). I sincerely beleive that they will fall down even further continuing to bomb and punish all over the world.

I cannot get to the link posted above to read the interview, but snopes debunked the "fake footage myth" in September.
http://www.snopes2.com/rumors/cnn.htm
Claim: CNN used old footage to fake images of 'Palestinians dancing in the street' after the terrorist attack on the USA.
Status: False.
Origins: No, CNN did not air decade-old footage of Palestinians dancing in the streets. Eason Jordan, CNN's Chief News Executive, confirmed that the video used on CNN was in fact shot on Tuesday, 11 September 2001, in East Jerusalem by a Reuters TV crew, not during the Persian Gulf conflict of 1990-91 -- a fact proved by its inclusion of comments from a Palestinian praising Osama Bin Laden (whose name was unlikely to have come up ten years earlier in connection with the invasion and liberation of Kuwait) as well as the appearance in the video of post-1991 automobiles. The person who made the claim quoted above has since recanted.

Odd, you wouldn't have known it.

Right.... there is no slant in their reporting at all. They have no anti-Isreali, anti-Kuwaiti, anti_US bias whatsoever. Well, let's put it this way, whil most of the intended audience feels Al-Jazeera is unbiased, almost everybody else seems to feel they are biased. I generally have little respect for the media anyway, but when nearly all respected western news agencies make claims about their bias, you have to think that those establishments that have been practicing free journalism for a very long time might have some basis for their remarks. I beolieve that journalistsic integrity is almost an oxymoron anyway, but it seems Al-Jazeera comes in a step below what most find responsible journalism.
A couple of my favorite quotes I dug up that I found amusing:

http://www.ccmep.org/hotnews/cnn102201.html
the New York Times opined that Al Jazeera "often slants its news with a vicious anti-Israel and anti-American bias" and "deeply irresponsible reporting [that] reinforces the region's anti-American views." Dan Rather questioned whether there was "any indication that Osama bin Laden has helped finance this operation." Britain's Daily Telegraph called the station "Bin Laden TV," while NPR warned listeners that Al Jazeera's coverage should "come with a health warning."

http://www.jang-group.com/thenews/oct2001-daily/02-10-2001/world/w9.htm
"What bothers me most is the way Jazeera presenters frown all the time to impress viewers with their seriousness," said Norma, a 19-year-old resident of the United Arab Emirates. "One of them was always smiling when he worked for another TV station but now he looks like his mum grounded him." Some journalists in the region accuse it of bias against Kuwait and in favour of Iraq and of sympathy towards Afghanistan in its confrontation with the United States.
.
.
.
"Their neutrality is improving but they have some programmes one cannot stand. Mere screaming," said Kuwaiti academic Khaldoun al-Naqeeb. "Why don't they present the news and let the viewer draw his own conclusions?" The channel went on air in November 1996 with a $137 million budget from Qatar's Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani -- a move seen as part of a promise to introduce press freedom.
At that time Jazeera drew 70 percent of its staff from the Arabic language service of the British Broadcasting Corporation. Now former BBC journalists make up only 30 percent of its staff. Journalists say this has made the station's character more attractive to Arabs as the reduction in British-trained staff may have softened rules on how stories are presented.

I'm sure all the claims about their bias are baseless though. Please don't even mention CNN, the "we'll do anything for a story including pimping our grandmothers" network, to me because I have already told you what I think of them.

Jason,
At least you realize CNN (an AOL-TIME WARNER station)is garbage, I'll cease and desist on the CNN cracks in all the other threads.
I said before, everybody hates Al Jazeera, but everybody watches them and that makes them happy. Everyone accuses them of showing propaganda for the other side. If they are a bit anti-Israeli, how does that damage their 'journalistic integrity' considering the pro Israeli slant that dominates the Western media. Granted you already mentioned that journalistic integrity is devoid of any true meaning.
Its easy to dig up quotes from famous people 150 years ago in the US describing the news papers of the time as totally controlled or manipulated by special interests. Why would it be different now?
Ralph Nader was never allowed to speak in the same forum with W. or Gore. The election committee arbitrarily altered the rules at the beginning of the process to block Nader's participation in the national debates. I consider that an affront to the ideals of democratic process.

Where is Ajith when we need him? With one swipe he would have reduced the above post to just "Hi, Margarida, more russian or"
Is "Margarida" the way you say "Margarita" in Russian? Then that'll have to change too

Hi, Margarita,
I have not got any Email from you, yet.
Nanhesru,
any language has pronounciation quite distinct from spelling.
The spelling is usually done in a specific font (I just do not have the proper one, cyrillic, in my PC) and depends on specific environment (it was done in Portugal)

Are you serious that you are ashamed of your brilliant parents or you are just trying to sweeten you relations with americans? At least, you did not change your name to say that you are surprised by some respectfully sounding people.
