Definetly, Osama bin laden is not of the same calibre and sainthood as the Pope, why then do *SOME* of the Muslims in Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and the mid-East worship Osama's word. Are these people seeking directions, jobless, bored without a cause in life, brainwashed, don't have access to the wonders of the internet?
I think it's important to realize these people in the Middle East(some of them) see the actions of the US with their foreign policy as one continuous act of repression against the muslim world. For example, funding Israel, the sanctions against Iraq, gulf war etc.. They dont see these as sepearate incidents as you and I might do. They think the US is out to get them, and use them for their Oil. I think the US should be slightly careful in the future regarding its foregin policy. Obviously Oil has much to do with some anti-US sentiment. The fact of the matter is that people dont start hating for no reason. It is sparked by something or someone. I'm not saying they have any reason to be angry or hate cause they don't. From what I have read and seen these are some of the sentiments being displayed out there. I am probably wrong(For some people) and to be honest with you, some of the people who are having these discussions on JavaRanch seem way to aggresive with some of their comments. It doesn't feel as friendly anymore. There seems to be more head butting than anything. I am really sick of all this Terrorist talk as it is really the only thing to talk about these days. It is important to rid these people but I think it is unhealth to have this consume our lives. I just feel overwhelmed because I dont want more people to die cause of hate for someone or something.
