server takes default page

hi all,

i downloaded a web application of MVC1 model.it has a servlet controller.
it runs in tomcat server.when i click the folder where the jsp files are present then it takes the one jsp file as a default page.in web.xml also there is no welcome file tag or the context path set.it want to set another jsp file as a default page where it is present in the same folder.in controller also there is no jsp page set as a default page.

pls reply for this problem or provide me any links.

Tomcat has some default settings for welcome pages, in conf/web.xml

For web.xml, look in the Servlet Specification, chapter 13, "Deployment Descriptor."

Note: Individual webapps can override specific settings in a custom WEB-INF/web.xml file.

If the webapplication framework is built on struts then the default uri is controlled in the struts.xml. This is done by using an atrribute called unknown="true" for one of the action mapping. You can change this to another action mapping.
