get the keys Ad
For those of you who saw this ad....
They show these guys going on vacations etc
when they get the keys to Pontiac Grand AM(?)
Makes me wonder who would buy-in to such dumb ads....
just irritates me....
Also when these guys copy Ad's..I hate it!
Honda Civic Ad where this guy is standing beside the car
and the owner comes to pick up his morning paper and says
"Its Sunday Jim". I would call this a copy of the "Get your
own Passat" Ad from VW.
Any other thoughts on Ads....

The most disappointing Advert-related moment I had was when I saw the direct and blatant rip-off that Fosters beer did of the classic Molson "I am Canadian" advert.
On another sorry issue, I still miss the pets.com adverts I still have my hand puppet at home to console me though
Dave.

I really like the one ad (VW I think) where the guys go out to get his paper and his neighbor is there washing his car.

My favorite ad of the moment is I think a Budweiser ad.
These guys are sitting around talking about their recent camping trip or something. One of them says to another "Remember when you found that golden retriever puppy?" [shows lost puppy in woods] The other guy says "Yeah, golden retriever puppies sure are cute." [shows guy holding cute puppy up to his face]. The first guy says, "Wasn't he rabid?" [puppy he's holding up is now growling ready to bite, frothing at mouth, and really mangy looking]. They say something else and then cut to the group screaming hiding in the car while this rabid puppy outside jumps on the car, frothing at the mouth and looking like Cujo. Keep an eye out for it, it's hilarious.

I've seen that one it is good. I also like the Mikes hard lemonaide commercials - those are great. I love the one where he cuts his leg off and the one where the guys arm gets bitten off.

The health ads are hilarious; I love listening for all the "may cause internal bleeding, kidney failure, brain damage, etc"
The one's that drive me nuts are those that don't tell you what they're for and end with "call your doctor" ... no wonder health costs are soring

I like the Mikes hard lemonaide commercials as well. I also like the MGD not so bad commercials.
How about commercials that are actually good but you have no idea who they were for.
Some companies seem to alway have good commercials. Bud.

Does anyone know of the ad where a daughter asks her mom why she was named ------- (Im forgetting the name.It was a name of a place.)
Her mom says you were conceived at this place so the name..
Then she asks her mom why her sister is named 'Landrover' or something ..
(I might have messed up the names though)

Just FYI, the older daughter's name is Savannah and the ounger daughter's is Concorde.
And I think that the best part is the "Ewwww...gross," that eminates from the daughter when she realizes jsut why her sister is named 'Concorde.'
But my favourite commercial is the one where somebody runs up and taps a guy on the shoulder and then runs away. Thye guy then gives chase...to everybody in the city. They run away from him and hide as fast as they can. It takes a moment to dawn on you that they are playing tag. But I can't remember what the commercial is for.

My all-time, favorite add is the Snickers election add. That made me laugh every time I saw it.

I really like the Aflak commercials, but the best one is the roller-coaster one. http://www.adcritic.com/content/aflac-roller-coaster.html

But what really takes the advert cake, is this one: http://www.adcritic.com/content/peta-bad-cats.html
Warning: that last one is NOT for the kids.

That viagra commercial is so funny. My best friend and i were watching TV one day when we saw that ad and one of my hobbies is making fake commercials and videos and stuff, so were making a VIAGRO commercial where the guy walks around with an erection and people are like " did you get promoted?" and stuff. Email me at guesswhocmiyc@msn.com if you want to see the finished product.

Old, but since it's been resurrected:
Is there something here that I'm missing? What is this ad trying say about the product?
The idea is that the next day, well after the Viagra itself has worn off, the guy is happier and more confident in life because of the previous night's experience. It's true the commercial could be interpreted differently - but I think this is what they intended.
