there should be one servlet per package?

is there anything like there should be one servlet per package hierarchy ???

No. Put as many servlets as you want in a package.

Package is a mechanism to group related code.
You can put related servlets in the same package.

please go through the following link... i have maintained the problem which i am facing in detail out there in jboss forum...and if possible give me some input to solve it....

Cannot load servlet class: HolidayController

Are you using jar utility that comes with JDK to make a war.

Here is what I do.
I arrange the stuffs in order and in correct folder and then run jar utility on that to make the war.

Are you putting the classes in classes directory in WB-INF folder.If yes , then they should be in proper folder corresponding to your class package structure.
Or else create a jar out of your code and put it in lib folder of WEB-INF folder and then use jar utility to make the war.Deploy that.
