my interviewer asked me about that why servlet is called as a Controller and what its mean

really.. a very bad way to post a query on this forum.

but here is your answer, i am not sure what you really wanted to ask.

we don't call a servlet a controller, servlet acts as a controller in few of the frameworks, Model2 based frameworks
