I am getting this is console output.

Place your servlets class on classpath of the application server

That appears to indicate that the container cant find the servlet class. Since I have never seen that exact message and you left out such details as the server you are using and how the servlet has been configured I can't say more than that.

You did put the servlet class in a package, right? Why is a servlet trying to use a AWT class?
