My application involves parsing a long URL into a short one.

Say:
http://www.javaranch.com

into
http://tinyURL.com/goodForum

which if an user enter in the url link http://tinyURL.com/goodForum, will redirect him to the http://www.javaranch.com

Its just easy to remember.

But my client want something like this:
http://goodForum.tinyURL.com

It means creating sub-domain during runtime.
Now I am totally new to the idea. Thats why I was asking for some help.

Thank you

It looks like you've asked a very similar question in the JSP forum.

Please try to keep your question to a single thread.
Cross-posting questions causes confusion, and duplication of effort.
This will ultimately annoy the people who might otherwise want to help you making it harder for you to get an answer to your question.
