Reading a file which is not in war file of servlet

I have made a war file with a servlet and web.xml in it.Now through this servlet i want to read a file b.drl which is not in that war file,but i am not able to read that.Please tell me how can i be able to read that file.

If it's not part of the war file, you'll need to write a servlet that reads the file from disk and streams it to the browser.
