need a java.net.URL from file in classpath

Hello:

I am trying to load a java.io.File or java.net.URL object with a file on my web app's classpath. The goal is not specify an absolute path. I can't see how this can be done. Any ideas?

Look at getResource or getResourceAsStream.

These methods will allow you to locate a resource relative to the root of your web application.

You can also call getResource and getResourceAsStream from the classloader to find the file on the classpath (as you had originally asked).

The method names are the same but the concepts are slightly different.
