Are you talking about an FTP client or an FTP server? If the latter, then the answer is you can't. If the former, check out the Apache Commons Net library. It contains everything you need to access FTP servers.

All the containers that have been build thus far (that I know of) have been written to support HTTP.

You would need to write a container that can handle the FTP protocol and then come up with an servlet interface for FTP (the same way that the current servlet spec provides the HttpServlet for the HTTP protocol).

Hi,

If your goal is to upload and download files then you can implement this using servlets. You can get this source code by googling very easily.
