Hi ..

Am rendering different types of files thry tomcat.
For me some files are ending with numbers
like ..
ROLLBACK.etest.XMLOUT.sj22lab-as1.cisco.com.20070807072132.14329
PRCIII.etest.XMLOUT.sj22lab-as1.cisco.com.20070807072409.15807

Like these , file names are genarating on the fly .. dynamic

here my doubt is how to specify the
extention for above files ?

can i use regular expresion ?

how about using time stamp as the extension, say 200806181325, or just a long as current time

Are you talking about the file extension like .txt or .xls ?
Or you just file name without extension?

I guess its file name and not the extension.
Using timestamp should be the easiest solution.

Why regular expression?

Why the subject reads "Question on mime mapping" ?
