env-entry tag in web.xml file

I have a servlet that processes an order and computes the
tax on the order. I have the tax represented as an env-entry
so it is not hard coded anywhere. Now my question is how
do I access this variable from my servlet? When I deploy my
app (jboss 4.2.x server) should I see a jndi binding somewhere?

I understand the tag, just not how to access it.

Thanks,

John

Sounds like what you really want is a context parameter, accessible from the ServletContext.

Bear,

Ok, I could use that, but in the HF Servlets & JSP book, they show
an env-entry tag. So using an env entry tag, how would I access it?
Also, would it show up in my jndi tree for the server?

Thanks,

John
