Hi Experts,

I have experience in writing JAVA/JSP/Servlet. However, my coding style/design does not following the MVC/MVC2 model. I want some reference (if possible, I seek a example/sample) for teaching me
- MVC/MVC2
- Struts/Struts2
- Eclipse (for file edit and management), any other good tools ?
- XXX.xml ( I found many properties file, but I don't know what they are working for )
- Configuration passing in a Tomcat Application.

Thanks a lot!

That's a pretty disparate set of questions that you should do some research on, and then ask individual questions in their respective forums.

At a high level there is no MVC vs MVC2. There is just MVC. You may be confusing Model 1 (which is usually not MVC) with Model 2 (which is).

Yes, you are right ! I am really confused by those terms. Thanks for correcting my question and suggestion, and then ask again on respective forums.

But allow me to have a fast question, What should "Model 1" & "Model 2" refer to ? Is it referring about Struts or Struts2 ? Since I got some ppt about Strut2, it mention that Strut2 is used to implement Model 2.

Both Struts1 and Struts2 are implementations of the Model 2 technique.

Perhaps this article will help.
