I have been counting days for that event for the last 3 months...
I would like to say Brazil instead of England, but...
I think Argentina is going to win this time due to tremendous shape, and yah England, France will be next in the list....

Personally I want England to lose all of the early games so that they are out of the competition as early as possible and people here will talk about something slightly more intelligent that 22 guys kicking a ball around!

Of course Germany.
We simply play the nicest football.
1-5 defeat in qualification against England was, because we let english anti-german fanatics win unimportant games.
English group:
Argentina
Nigeria
Sweden
England

German group:
Irland
Cameroon
Saudi-Arabia
Germany

Wait until the big match (Argentina vs England), than you'll see 22 guys not only kicking a ball around, but also kicking each other
and, at the end of the match, you'll hear 30.000 holigans singing "don't cry for me Argentina", isn't that exciting ?

Of course Germany.
Then they gonna have to wake up the nice soccer they played back in '90 in Italy where it was the last time they went further than the 1/4 finals.
We simply play the nicest football.
It's a matter of personal taste, I guess.
English group:
Argentina
Nigeria
Sweden
England
German group:
Irland
Cameroon
Saudi-Arabia
Germany

Looks like it's gonna be easier for the Germans than for the English

Interestingly no European team has won the World Cup outside of Europe...
England doubtful... they also have the added pressure of the English media who talk up the team beyond their ability I would guess Argentina, Italy, France will there when it counts

But no (latin-) american team has won the cup outside of the Americas with the exception of Brasil in 1958 in Sweden.

True..., the patern is, if it's held in latin-america then the team from latin-america won the cup, if it's held in europe then the team from europe won the cup, but this is the first time that the worldcup will be held in Asia, so there is no history record yet.
I would say the chances is 50:50, but england a litle bit above the other, couz' :
1. they have a very best soccer league in the world,
2. their graphic match in an increasingly performance, especially during the qualification.
3. they have world quality coach (Sven Goran Errickson)
4. their players are in the top age performance.
5. good team work and orginaziation (proof during the qualification)
6. and not forget to mention that according to my chinesse friend, 1966 is the year of the horse when england won the cup, 2002 is also the year of the horse, you know the rest...fengshui stuff
