g.drawImage(...) not working with a print graphics env.

I'm trying to print and this isn't working

where g is a Graphics object. It fails when I get the Graphics context from code like this:

where this is extends frame and panel is the above mentioned panel.
The error I get is odd too, I don't know what to make of it:

Well, it turned out to be printer specific, so I filed a bug report with sun.
