I was wondering whats the best way to hookup my pc to my home theatre, just to play streaming music though (no video). Right now, I use a cheap $3 cable from radioshack that uses the sound out port of my soundcard (headphone) and has a rca (red/white) audio outs that I connect to the aux in of my amp.
I am sure there is a better way of doing this, esp since I have a couple of digital (1 optical and 1 firewire) ports on my soundcard(s).
what do you guys use?

I use the Hercules Game TheaterXP. Its a full multimedia control center in a little box. Great device for outputting stuff from a comp to a home system. Its also great for watching movies from the computer.
