Dear Friends, How can I know the computer resources that are available at any instant of time? It includes the amount of free RAM, CPU speed HDD free space etc for making some decisions based on these factors. Thanks in advance. Sandeep iyer

Well that would be sort of operating system dependant. On windows you would find the dll (provided by MicroSoft) that interfaces with the operating system and write some JNI to interface the dll with your java.
