Is there any API in Java to build MS-Word document.

You would need to talk to MicroSoft about that. I am sure that they have some dll's or what not.
Of course you could BUY their VisualStudio.net and I am sure that it will support MicroSoft applications.
Can't you just build a .txt document and open it in MSWord?

We can open a word document from Java. Is that what you want ??
To open a document you can use the method exec() in the Runtime package is used to execute a command string passed as the parameter in a separate process.

Well then you are back to figuring out how to use the MSWord dll files using JNI.
