I am writing a program and tit utilizes the FTP DOS command. the full command line I want to run is
ftp -s:test.dat
my program makes the test.dat file and there is no problem doing that... the problem comes when I try to run my program. it compiles with the code:
Process proc = Runtime.getRuntime().exec( "ftp -s:test.dat");
my program runs also but it does not seem to run the command.
can someone please help me... thanks so much for your time!

"stewart",
The Java Ranch has thousands of visitors every week, many with surprisingly similar names. To avoid confusion we have a naming convention, described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name. Please log in with a new name which meets the requirements.
Thanks.
