Has anyone seen a real ghost?

no, I've not seen a ghost, (though I once found a very strange sound on an audio tape I'd thought to be blank. )
However, I know someone who has seen a UFO. He's also seen an octopus walk along the beach, into the undergrowth.

That's pretty weak Bob. I get those spheres in my pictures all the time, not because of any ghost but because I'm a bad photographer. I have seen these optical illusions on my photographs when I take a picture into direct sunlight or at night.

Yup. I used to live in a house that was haunted. It was between my eighth and tenth years of life. It scared the crap out of me. There were several incidents that just can't be explained away. Besides, if I didn't believe that there was something else after this life, I would probably be making vastly different lifestyle choices right now.

I read a story about seven scientists recording ghost voices at Sing Sing (a prison where many prisoners were executed). It seems that they have done research about this for 30 years. They recorded many ghostly voices in that hell-like prison's hallways and cells, and they matcked these voices with real events. Extremely scary.
I think ghosts or spirits may exist in another dimension that we cannot see or smell.

Frankly speaking, if one beleives in Plus then he has to beleive in Minus.

And one more thing if I have not seen Taj Mahal it does not mean that it does not exist.
I have seen or not should not be question ...
question should can we find that dimension where such things do exist ??
Even engineering some time fails, even we can not define ZERO, iota.... these are scietific ghosts.
Human ghost, I have not seen one but beleive that they do exist but not like the one we see in movies.
But most(I think 99.99%) of the time it is in our minds

I have actually had two experiences that I suppose were seeing ghosts.
The first could have possibly been a dream so I wonder about that one but I believe I saw my Grandmother who had recently passed away when I was 7 years old. She spoke to me and told me she was happy.
The second happened in broad daylight. I had never met or even seen pictures of my half-brother due to stupid family argument. He committed suicide when I was 13 and the following day (before I knew about it) I was approached by a man who spoke to me as if he knew me ... strangely I felt I knew him even though we had never met before. I went home after school that day to find my mother in tears looking at his photograph ... she had found out that he had died the day before. When I looked at the photograph it was the man I had spoken to earlier. I think he wanted to meet me before he really passed on.

I have heard this statement once regarding the afterlife....
Nature, or God if you'd like, has not given any creatures urges that are not atainable.
Think of such basic urges as thirst, hunger, sociability, the urge to reproduce, etc... Humans also seem to have an inate need to believe in an afterlife. This has been prevalent in all cultures throughout time. Therefore if this is a trait that is common throughout humanity, it can be thought of a natural urge. So if you can accept the above quote, then you might be able to accept that there is an afterlife simply because we have this inate longing for it.
Another interesting thing... supposedly almost all children who it is claimed they have been able to speak with the dead come from families where the parents have divorced or otherwise separated. That is there has been some great trauma in their life, but short of a death.
There have also been reports of very young children who have seen things which might be called ghosts. These are based on reports of from their parents witnessing their children reacting to unseen things in ways that they react with people. Some toddlers with rudimentary language skills have articulated this to their parents. William Peter Blatty, author of the Exorcist, claims this of his son.

Incidents like one we have seen in "Exorcist" movie, are real.
Though I have never seen change of face but yes I have seen lady not to be in her concious and way of speaking was changed and when she become normal she did not remember any thing.
It was not hypnotism as when she was unconcious she was telling things, which were true and no one knows out of that family.
Seeing dead ones ...??? No experence
but yes once I analyzed my dream I still do not know how this happen. Once when I was in 10th I slept with mind that I would see dream and see what is there.
I saw dream with half conciuos mind, I mean I was seeing the real world and dream together.... I can not explain .. but truth is this .. and what I noticed that in dream no face was clear, I mean I knew that this figure is my so friend but I was not able to see his face, I can feel he is wearing shirt but how is the shirt I was not able to see. I mean every thing I knew what I was seeing but nothing was clear.

I've also heard something a few times walking inside a room while I was in the room. I don't know how to classify whatever it was, but whatever it was, it made sound as it crossed the room, yet when you looked you saw nothing.
