can anyone tell me how to call the Shell script from java program.
It should be possible with Runtime Class.
But how to pass a value as input to the shell script from java.

You will probably have to call the program that handles the shell script, with an argument of the script, followed by the arguments to the script.
For example:

Runtime.getRuntime().exec(new String[] {
  "/bin/bash",
  "/home/me/myscript.sh",
  "argument1",
  "argument2",
  "argement3"
});
