Hi,
I am having this problem
C:\>java anyclass
Registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\CurrentVersion'
has value '1.2', but '1.3' is required.
Error: could not find java.dll
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.
this is happening since I installed Java1.3 runtime environment
thanks

I am assuming that you are running on a windows OS. When you downloaded the JRE did you run the executable? It was named something like J2re1.3.0_win.exe.
That executable should have updated your windows registry to say that the current environment is now 1.3.0 or whatever.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
