Without writting the code from scratch, does Java
provide any classes that would allow you to do
Pro-Comm type serial communications. On top of just
providing the serial communications, I am looking for serial communications control like Pro-Comm scripting.

I find myself doing a lot of Java serial comms now and I did use Pro-comm a lot in the '80s. I found some example scripts here (http://www.aspectscripting.com/samples.shtml), but a Java library for this would be very helpful for me.
