Sorry folks I just have to vent.
After being on the Ranch for over 2 years (I know that this could be a surprise to some but it's true.. and I've been pretty active, just flying under the radar) [post: 400 coming up]
I just have to get this off my chest.
I HATE WHEN PEOPLE WRITE CODE SNIPPETS AND DONT USE the UBB 'code' '/code' tags.
I now have a habit of skipping every message that doesn't use them as I get a damn headache trying to read these messages with no formatting.
*WHEW*
Glad to get that off my chest...
Thank you!

i sometimes use quote instead if it turns out ok cause code make the font size hard to read. at least on small monitors like mine. regardless, i agree it must be formatted.

Normal UBB code tag:

UBB code tag with larger font size:

Same thing without using the code tags:
<pre>
public class myClass
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
System.out.println("Hello Ranch");
}
}
</pre>

I totaly agree though. People posting unformatted code is maddening.

In general, we've had to disable HTML is most forums where code is posted regularly, because of some UBB bugs. So you generally can't change font size when you need to. We're looking at ways to imporove on this situation...

On my computer the stuff in CODE or QUOTE tags is annoyingly small. Stuff without it has no formatting. I like posts that have no code

Then I guess that would explain things. And I'm sure it would take a UBB hack to fix as well.
