Hi
I am using iPlanet the requirement is to redirect all requests coming at http://www.sitesurl.com to https://www.sitesurl.com . From there on, the entire site is on https.
Any help is appriciated.

Welcome to the Ranch, shobhit!

This is not a good thing since no others who might have the same question would benefit from the answer.
Also, the Ranch has an HTML/Javascript Forum where non-Java questions like this would be more appropriate.
That said, one appraoch would be to place an index.html page in the folder where http://www.sitesurl.com resolves to, and use a meta tag within that page to immediately redirect to the https equivalent. Be sure that they are not the same page as you will create an endless cycle of redirects.
If you have any question regarding this technique, please feel free to post a question in the HTML forum (or ask a bartender to move this topic there).
There may also be container-specific ways to tell iPlanet to do this for you, but I wouldn't know about that. There is an "Other Servers" forum for those types of questions.
hth,
bear
