Popup Window Angst

Hi there,
does any one have a favorite piece of software for preventing popup windows? they're really starting to get the better of me! better yet - anyone know of a way to disable them totally via the browswer (IE 6).

I use opera. I can set the preferences to disable pop-up windows. I never see them!

a program that might help is Ad Alert. it finds all the spyware on your computer and lets you get rid of them. sometimes this spyware is used to pop up ads. you can get it at http://www.lavasoft.nu

I dont know about other pop-up stoppers, but with SIP(surf in peace) you have to tell it to block each popup the first time. it will block it after that.

I am with Rob Ross in this. Opera is the most efficient solution for this nasty pop-up advts. Its so convenient that it makes IE look ancient.
