In April 2001, I took a flight from Chicago to San Francisco. The 4.5-hour journey turned to be 9.5 hours. First there was a thunderstorm and we waited for an hour on the runway, then because the flight was so shaky one of the passengers felt sick, went to the bathroom and died. Flight attendants closed that part of the airplane (including the bathrooms). We had emergency landing in Salt Lake City where we spent an hour and a have. By that time, the junior wrestling team (part of the passengers group) that was going to some kind of championship and supposed to change the plane in San Francisco, was late to their connection flight, and had to unboard the airplane in Salt Lake City (including the luggage). This took another hour. All that time, we had only 1 lavatory open, no drinking water or food, since flight attendants could not use one of their two kitchens due to unknown cause of the death. After wrestling team left airplane, the flight attendants and pilots reached their 8-hour work day limit and our flight get threatened by this team going to leave the airplane. Eventually we landed in San Francisco 5 hours late. Looking back, I am thinking that flight could turn worsen.
The government thinks you are too stupid to make your own lightbulb choices. But this tiny ad thinks you are smart:
