Hi,
I am using Preferences. I read the Preferences from a file initially and use the preference values. Everything is fine till now. However, if I change the preference file, I see that the test program continues to use values from previous test run (entries from the registry) rather than using the preference file. Is this the right behaviour ?
Thanks,
Seema

Hi Seema,
Can you be a little more specific abt the os? if u r using Linux or unix u need to execute the script file for the preferences to work.
Hope this helps,
Vinod.

Hi,
I am using Windows 2000. When the program is run a second time, it picks up the preferernces from the REGISTRY rather than modified preference file.
regards,
Seema

Hi.
Could you post the code where you read in your preferences?
There might be a bug lurking in there.

Hi Seema,
Try to run a batch file using Runtime to set the preferences and then try doing it. It would be better to have the code posted in the forum to have a better idea.
Regards,
Vinod.
