First they clone Dolly the sheep, now they are talking about cloning the Tasmanian Tiger. May I know how will relational database XML and JAVA be involved in the maintenance, servicing and reproducibility of cloned animals as well as animals to be cloned. For all my 2 cents worth. Thanks and best regards.

XML will be used to store huge genetic info - for space efficiency reasons. XML files will be kept in relation databases - for better management of information resources. Java will be used to perform needful numerical calculations - for time efficiency reasons.

I always thought that realtional databases were invented for better management of information resources. Now it is XML also.... I guess it is a need of storing tree structures in tables? IMHO XML will be sloooouuuu to store genetic info
I am waiting for bio-computers (or nano-computers) to come along, so we can finally get read of this 0 and 1 over-simplification.

IMHO, but I thought all this while XML and Java is used as the norm to manage DNA informations and to model biological systems involving the human genome. Java3D and BioJava and the human genome is classified under computer engineering. And I regret not being able to learn Java sooner.
