I lost S$30 in this match. I thought there could be a 1-1 draw maximum. When the next game betweem Italy,Croatia & Brasil/China come, I don't dare to bet anymore. Guess that don't make me much of a person that dare to take much risks to accomplish big things......someone once told me Waltz Disney was bankrupt 11 times, is that true?

It's a week of upsets. US beat Portugal, UK gets a clean victory over Argentina, War Emblem doesn't even show in the Belmont, Italy gets burned against Croatia...it's longshot week!
I've worked with Walk Disney. I've studied his work for decaides. I consider him a personal friend. Mr.Chong, you're no Walt Disney.

Well, look at Donald Trump, he ows more than he can possibly pay back, and is still a casino king.
Once you get to their level, you can't loose. A person I knew told me a story, that few years back one of the very big and important financial companies, with revenues of about $5 Billion, was playing a hedging game and had $125 Billion on margins. Well, the market went a little beserk, and margin calls came in. It looked like the US stock market was going to get a little bit of a fewer that day, it would've been $120 Billion Dollars short. But Federal Reserve Bank stepped in and bailed them out. Will not name the company, 'cause people would start treating it as Enron.
On second thought, England played better in that game. And, my personal opinion here, Argentina is one of these overhyped teams that will get knocked out early. Although they played well that game. I just don't see them beating England, Germany, Brasil or Spain.

I was thinking that the cricket syndrome (betting/bookmakers paying to players) spread to soccer also

Of course, The Soccer (Footbal) World Cup 2002!!! Since it's staged in Japan and Korea, it's mostly on either at night or at daytime, when they run reruns.
On second thought, you must be joking so I've got caught again...
