I haven't posted in a while, but I just had to make it known, that I now have a server at work all to myself that has a 4 gig processor, 1 gig of ram, 200 mb of harddrive space.
And all I do is program on it, in a unix shell.
Oh well.... Maybe I can sneak some games in.

May be you can host a Quake server for JavaRanchers? Quite a number of us are seriously thinking about a Fight Club already

If you don't like Quake you should seriously think hosting UT (Unreal Tournament). I think I may give some lessons to Michael there .
After all his book helped me a lot, my turn to frag him

Well, maybe I can get to hosting game servers a little later in the week, but the main purpose of me having such a powerful machine is so I can try to learn some system administration stuff. Do any of you have any cool system administration things you think a newbie should know? Btw I would pwn you all in UT!

200 mb of harddrive space ??? That is peanuts. Some of the programs, I write at work need more than that kind of space for a single program. You probably got your GB and MB all mixed up.
