Hi,
What are the contents of this book ? When you say Art of Java .. are you concentrating on design patterns in Java. Is it like artificial thinking in java ?

Shekar:
The Art of Java is not a design pattern book. Rather, it is a book that shows how to apply Java to a wide range of real-world applications. Thus, it contains "real code, for real programmers". You can use the code as-is, or adapt it for you own applications.
Beyond that description, The Art of Java is a celebration of the Java language, itself. Java is a rich, powerful, and elegant language. The Art of Java attempts to show-off these attributes. As James (my co-author on the book) and I say in the Preface:
"It is through the art of Java that the artistry of Java's design is displayed."
This is why The Art of Java is different from other programming books.
