Hi everyone, I am playing around with sound files (wav) in my code. I have managed to get audio files to work in an Applet but not an Application yet.
Could you please be so kind as to show a small application that plays an audio file.
Ideally I will write it as applet/app later. But for now could help get me started please.
Thanks, Dave.

Although there are fairly basic tools for playing .wav files in japplet I think that applications are going to need to rely on the Java Media Framework. The main site is here, and includes source for a demo application (and applet).

Take a look at the Playing Sounds section of the Sound Trail of Sun's Java Tutorial.
Towards the bottom is an example of playing sounds in an application.

Mo-om! You're embarassing me! Can you just read a tiny ad like a normal person?
