Blocking mouse and key events?  RSS feed

Hi,
is it possible to block mouse and key events, so that Java catches those events before the underlying system(for instance Windows) does, and the underlying system doesn't notice that the user did anything?

Michael,
No. You can ignore events that have to do with your java program. For example, you can prevent the user from clicking the close button.
You cannot intercept events that have to do with the OS, such as alt-tab. This is a good thing. We would not want java to be able to hijack the computer.
