I have tried to extract my jar-file by giving:
C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin>jar xf c:\java\ag.jar
but result is a following error message:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.getUTF8String(ZipInputStream.java:284)
at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.readLOC(ZipInputStream.java:237)
at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.getNextEntry(ZipInputStream.java:73)
at sun.tools.jar.Main.list(Main.java:736)
at sun.tools.jar.Main.run(Main.java:192)
at sun.tools.jar.Main.main(Main.java:904)
also if i try to examine what's inside the file by giving:
C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin>jar tf Y:java\ag.jar,
result is:
META-INF/
META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.getUTF8String(ZipInputStream.java:284)
at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.readLOC(ZipInputStream.java:237)
at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.getNextEntry(ZipInputStream.java:73)
at sun.tools.jar.Main.list(Main.java:736)
at sun.tools.jar.Main.run(Main.java:192)
at sun.tools.jar.Main.main(Main.java:904)
does it mean that the jar-file is corrupted, or may there be some other reason?
thanks for yout time/opinion

pls try with Winzip for extracting the jar file.
I think that would be helpful.
