i just got mozilla 1.0 . i read that it can disable unrequested popups, but i see nothing in the help about it. it does have a javascript debugger and a DOM somethingorother...seems pretty cool...maybe i should visit angelfire and see if the ads popup
hmm...must find out how to disable popups
woohoo i found it! edit/preferences/advanced/scripts
never going back to IE now!
except for offline i think i keep IE the default. at least till i get more used to mozilla. netscape never let me open html files offline then view source then edit and save, i doubt mozilla will either..IE does

i use IE 6.0 and a free program called freesurfer to disable the pop ups...
its really good and can distinguish between "unwanted" pop ups and "wanted" ones...
also it can lock your homepage from changing.
check it here:

mozilla distinguishes too. i just disabled unrequested one but it allows you to disable all if you wanted to.
i was always annoyed that IE allowed sites to surreptitiously add themselves as favorites and make themselves your home page

i just visited my new site in both browsers. mozilla downloaded both images before they switched(15 seconds) IE 5.5 paused the first one, partially displayed, loaded the second one and didnt have both fully loaded at the switch.
definite performance increase...i wonder how it would compare at my other site though. IE always outperformed netscape accessing my access database

snakes are really good at eating slugs. And you wouldn't think it, but so are tiny ads:
