Hi all.
It's just a question about the real world applications.
let's say, we have a database and an application (swing) for storing and retrieveing the information from that database.
we have configured the database to save the information in a language other than english (like french, spanish....)
So, when we entered the information through JTextFields components (using the desired language) and press Save JButton to save these information into the database, should we use the classes in java.io.* package to convert the characters into the desired language ? or we don't need to do this because the database is already
configured to accept these chars??

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
