Hi,
i need clarification regarding path andclasspath
1) what is the difference between "path" and "classpath"
2) what is the difference between the 'set path' command and the
'set classpath' command?
thanks in advance

Path: an environment variable which denotes the system path i.e. how you tell your OS where to find executables it can run.
Classpath: an environment variable which denotes a path desribing where compiled classes can be found. This is used by the JVM's classloaders to load classes and resources.
The command is "set". Both "path" and "classpath" are arguments for the set command, and are labels for these environment variables.
