Really!? I have no trouble running old (1.02) applets like in: http://www.geocities.com/tony-alicea/SineTest.html It's just the 1.2 plugin that I can't run (e.g.) with Mozilla: http://www.geocities.com/tony-alicea/JFontsListApplet.html However, Netscape 4.79 AND IE 6 work fine with it. I think the time of applets is still to come. I think they were ahead of their time. It's just that they were underpowered (Java 1.02) and slow to load for most people. With the advent of widespread broadband and the power that Java 2 has, I think applets could be used again soon.
