Hello all, I have a question about my java project. I have JSP as front end. For my application I have data stored in oracle and java pulls it from oracle, by the time it goes to oracle and comes back with data I need to show "Please Wait, we are processing..." kind of page so user knows its been processed.
I have never done anything like this before, do you know what will be the good place to start doing that page. There are number of sites whcih does that like Expedia.com, hotwire.com etc. But its new for me, anyone has any clue on where do I start looking from.
Thanks in advance.

The project I'm working on does this with JavaScript - it just pops up a div with a similar message when you click one of the submit buttons.

Yup, I've used the identical solution with an animated .gif in the DIV.

Thanks for replying, Little more help guys. So Tim you are saying it was a pop-up with please wait message, can we do the same thing without a pop-up, also how does it know when to stop displaying the message and move on to the current page? Maybe my questions arent clear or they are too novice, but it would be great to have something to start with.
Like should I read about Div tag?? or something else??
