Hi all.
Can I access the active directory in WinXP using Java ?
yes I know that I should use JNDI, but as I know, to use JNDI , I should use an application server , right ?
so can I use the active directory using JNDI alone ??
if no, can you tell me how to use J2EE RI to perform this functionality ?
(I mean, if you can give me a url from java site, because I don't find it).

You are right about using JNDI to do this. I don't know why you think you need an application server or what your project is. You can access LDAP using JNDI from a desktop app or a web app.

You might want to have a look at the JNDI Tutorial from sun.
