SimpleDateFormat

I want to convert a 1 digit year to 4 digit year. Can some one help me?
I can give an example:
If I type in 6/9/4 the result should be 06/09/2004 instead of 06/09/0004 (SimpleDateFormat by default does 0004).

No, you don't have to repost again.

 SimpleDateFormat formatter  = new SimpleDateFormat ("dd/MM/yyyy");
 Date currentTime_1 = formatter.parse("6/9/4");
 String dateString = formatter.format(currentTime_1);
 System.out.println("dateString=:"+dateString);

Thanks for the code. The code snippet that you send does change the year to 4 digit year but the century it defaults to is not what I want.
Current result:

dateString=:06/09/0004

I want the result to be:

dateString=:06/09/2004

I wasn't careful. Try the following. Notice that there are two ways given.

   //first way
   Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance();
   SimpleDateFormat formatter  = new SimpleDateFormat ("dd/mm/yyyy");
   Date currentTime = formatter.parse(inDate);
   calendar.setTime( currentTime);
   int currentYear  = calendar.get(Calendar.YEAR);
   if ( currentYear< 2000)
      calendar.set(Calendar.YEAR,currentYear + 2000);
   
   currentTime = calendar.getTime();
   String dateString = formatter.format(currentTime);
   System.out.println("dateString=:"+dateString);
 
   //second way
   if (inDate.matches(".*/\\d\\d$"))
   inDate = inDate.replaceAll("(.*/)(\\d\\d)$","$120$2");
 
   else if (inDate.matches(".*/\\d$"))
   inDate = inDate.replaceAll("(.*/)(\\d)$","$1200$2");
 
   System.out.println("inDate=:"+inDate);
