Hi,

From a java application I am trying to open Ms outlook when user clicks on an email address.

I can open ms outlook but the user has to click "send/receive" to send the msg.

this is the code snippet
-----------------------------------
String command = outlookPath + "/c ipm.note " + "/m " +jdbTextField8.getText();
Process proc = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(ExternCommand);

---------------------------------------

If I use mailto it opens up MS outlook along with nopage to display window, usr is able to send the msg directly. but how I can I avoid the no page to display window?

this is code snipper for the above method.

--------------------------------------------
String command = outlookPath + " \""+"mailto:"+jdbTextField8.getText()+"\"";
Process proc = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(ExternCommand);
----------------------------------------------

Any ideas?

Thanks,

im probably not understanding this correctly. here's what i understood when reading.

You want to make your java thing open MS outlook with a new message window pop up where "to" is filled in with the supplied name, and a subject?

have you tried this?
