Okay guys...napster is done and audiogalaxy is being sued. What else is there? I'm in desperate need of music!! Does anyone here know where I can download some free music. :-)

Not sure, don't do any of it myself.
(I should point out that the semi-official stance at the Ranch is not to support cracks or illegal software etc, and this kind of falls under the same umbrella. I doubt there is a programmer who believes in paying for anything if they can get it free on the net, but just a warning that the conversation should be kept abstract. If anyone starts talking about specific methods for infringing copyright, this thread is likely to be deleted )
I think the mp3-sharing has been driven deep underground, close to the old BBS warez sites. Have you tried some of the generic P2P programs that support "file sharing" <- note the quotation
There should be a google directory for related software.
